Sun, koalas and kangaroos
Brisbane is the third most populated city of Australia and my favorite. I have spent most of my time on the land Down Under in this city. I love Brisbane for its climate and all the pretty things you can do or visit.
What to do and visit in Brisbane ?
Depends on how long you want to stay in Brisbane. There as so many places to discover there, from beautiful landscapes to huge skyscrapers. I would recomend to visit the inner city before the surroundings.
Here are some places that I loved when I lived there :
Visit Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
One of my favorite place in Brisbane I went to. You have so many things to discover there from animals to flowers to plants. You need at least one afternoon to visit and discover everything but better stay the whole day. If you want to, you can get THE famous tourist picture in Australia : holding a koala, a crocodile or a snake in your arms (it costs extra).
Watch the sunset from Mont Coot-ha
When you get to Mont Coot-ha, you have a really nice view of Brisbane city. Wait for the sunset and you’ll get rewarded. The view is so nice while the sun goes down. You can also get food or a drink while enjoying the view.

Going swimming at Brisbane Lagoon
If you are getting to hot in the city, go to Southbank and jump in the Lagoon. It has an amazing view because it is right in front of the river and the skyscrapers. You’ll get an unique time swimming if there are not lot of people having the same idea.

Relaxing in Southbank
After swimming in the Lagoon, there are so many ways to discover Southbank. You can take the Citycat ferries or walk along the river. You hungry ? No worries mate, there are so many restaurants where you can get good fond in Southbank !

Going on a walk in the city
Just walk and admire buildings around you. It is amazing how small can be a church compared to skycrapers. You can end your walk on Story Bridge where you’ll get a good view at sunset.
Going further ?
- Go to Moreton Island and North Stradbroke Island. I did not have time to go there but everyone I know who visited it loved it.
- Go to Gold Coast and discover Surfer Paradise, beaches and theme parks Dreamworld and Sea World. If you want to enjoy nature and less people, visit Burleigh Heads and its really nice national park.
- Want to discover the countryside ? Visit Toowomba farms and get to know how they do work out there.
- And if you are tired of Australia, just get on a plane and in two-hours flight, you will be in New Caledonia.
When should you visit Brisbane ?
I would say whenever you want ! Brisbane get sun almost the whole year and temperatures are good even in winter. It can reach 15°C during the day in winter and 30-40°C in summer.

EATING NUTELLA DOUGHNUTS FROM DOUGHNUT TIME
Actually you can get them in other cities in Australia but we discovered them in Brisbane and we loved them so much. Sometimes flavours are not really good but you will never get dissapointed with the famous Nutella one.
